So apparently I’m too old to listen to popular music?
So I was telling my mom a quote from Jay-Z “get that dirt off your shoulders” because she was letting something bother her. My daughter in the back seat said to me “Jay-Z really?” I said “Yeah can’t I listen to Jay-Z?” She said “Yeah I was just surprised.”
Funny thing is I was listening to Jay-Z before she was even born. I was raised on hip hop and sure I like rock and everything but country too but wow I didn’t think I was that old. I probably would’ve said the same thing to my mom but it took me aback a little bit.
